How it works
How the report is made, and how far to trust it
This is the page for people who want to check our work: how an automated SEO report gets made, step by step. Everything here is also in the appendix of every PDF.
1. We read your site the way a search engine does
Our SEO crawler starts from your homepage, follows internal links, reads your sitemap and robots.txt, and records every redirect and broken link. Pages that only show content after JavaScript runs are rendered in a real browser first. We respect crawl delays, never go past logins or paywalls, and only read public addresses. We read up to 60 pages on the free plan and up to 600 on Pro.
2. Technical checks against Google's own guidelines
Every page is checked against a fixed list of rules, each one tied to a page in Google Search Central or a web standard: indexing and canonicals, titles and descriptions, structured data and the properties Google requires for rich results, links, security headers, access for AI crawlers, and more. Where a check is a widely used convention rather than a Google requirement, the report says so.
3. Content reviewed page by page
An AI model reads each page and answers a fixed set of narrow questions: what kind of page it is, what search it should win, how helpful, specific and trustworthy it is, whether it gets to the point, and whether an AI assistant could quote it. Every answer comes with a confidence. Answers below a set confidence are marked "worth a human check" everywhere they appear, and are never counted as facts.
4. Speed from real visitors
Core Web Vitals come from Google's PageSpeed Insights: how fast your pages load, respond and stay still, as measured for real Chrome users over the last 28 days, plus a lab test. Lab scores vary from run to run; the report says which is which.
5. Rankings, keywords and backlinks (Pro, Max and PayGo checks)
Which searches you rank for, estimated visits, competitors, who links to you and what the top results look like come from a search data provider. These are estimates, not measured traffic, and the report labels them that way.
6. Scoring and the fix list
The health score starts at 100 and loses points for each finding by severity, weighted across nine areas. It exists to put the work in order. It is not a prediction of rankings or traffic, and no honest tool can give you one. Each fix gets an impact figure and an effort band so you can start with the best return.
7. The executive summary
On every report, an AI writes the summary from the findings, following a strict contract: it may only cite fixes that exist, may not invent numbers, and may not claim causes the audit did not measure. The summary is checked against the report before it is included. If it fails the check, you get the automatic summary instead.
What the report does not do
- It does not change anything on your site, submit URLs or contact anyone.
- It does not track rankings over time or measure your traffic. Search Console does that.
- It does not promise results. It gives you evidence and an order of work.
